Since the U.S.A. was targeted by terrorist outfits on September 11, 2001, there have been drastic changes in the Pakistan- America relations. Pakistan has been the favourite partner of America. Given the severity and frequency of terror attacks in the country and loss of hundreds of innocent lives, it is time to re-think the anti-terror strategies. While voices are being raised for stringent anti-terror laws, global experiences show that excessive use of force, draconian laws, inept handling of suspected lots and other counter-terror measures have failed miserably to contain terror attacks and can have counter-productive results.
